Mines an adult dvd site, pays me 25% commission on each sale. Going towards sponsoring my stockcar. I'd like 10 more of these not necessarily adult either, quite hard to advertise adult sites I've found, at least if you've got a conscience that is.:)

I'm Nick. I own and operate shopping portals in the UK and US which I now operate from back here New Zealand. The first portal was launched in the UK in 1996 and we make a good living in a market where there is now an abundance of good merchants with professionally run Affiliate Programs. I won't admit to having a shopping portal here in NZ yet mainly because of severe shortage of having NZ merchants with decent Affiliate Programs to list on it.

Aside from that I am also an Online Marketing and Affiliate Marketing Consultant based here in Auckland.

Any merchants that are serious about operating an Affiliate Marketing Program on their site should PM me because we will offer you the use of a dedicated and professionally run Affiliate Marketing Network - and if you are serious about it I can arrange for you to use this facility with quite possibly no costs for first 6 months. I am making this offer simply because if you are serious about trying Affiliate Marketing - then you should at all costs avoid trying to set up a cheapie program on your own server. It will end up causing more hassle than it's worth - and in 98% of cases will bring you little or no results.

Looks like CNN (above) might have only been wanting to use this forum to grow his Backlinks :(

www.casinonewzealand.com which has generated some good revenue with little marketing.

www.destinationcanterbury.com is a tourism portal I use for Adsense revenue.

Looking at buying SBI next - anyone else in NZ tried it?

Site Built It at http://www.sitesell.com/

I have spent a lot of time (2 years) looking over the forums at www.asscociateprograms.com. (run by a Kiwi in Australia).

Apart from the other tonnes of good material there it seems people are making money out of SBI too.

What appeals to me is the less time spent on SEO etc as the system seems to do it all for you.

However, only-2nd/3rd-hand advice, so will try it myself and report back.

BTW, check-out ww.webfarm.co.nz for their reseller deals.

There is some interesting stuff on that www.associateprograms.com for people just starting SEO and AM.

You need to watch out a bit for some of the ads on there coming out of the US that ask for money for showing you how to make a million overnite, mainly because there is so much good info out there online for free, if you just take the time to look for it.

And you can make a good living out of it if you are prepared to put the time and effort in...

..life online has only just begun!

You could try Microsoft FrontPage tho I'm not a big fan; Dreamweaver is far better but more expensive. You could always try HTML-Kit or AceHTML, both are free, not bad but not great.

For CSS I use TopStyle Pro, easy to use and quite cheap. There's also a free version.

Microsoft FrontPage - http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/FX010858021033.aspx
Dreamweaver - http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/
HTML-Kit - http://www.chami.com/html-kit/
AceHTML - http://software.visicommedia.com/en/products/acehtmlfreeware/
TopStyle - http://www.bradsoft.com/topstyle/tslite/index.asp
XAMPP - http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html (install php/mysql/perl on your pc easily)
WordPress - http://wordpress.org/ (free blogging software)

Hope they help, on a side note I wouldn't use any SEO software. You'll do more damage than good.

My site makes me a little. Its just the run of the mill arcade that is everywhere. I am branching out into flash. Im working on doing some sitebuild sites at the moment with a couple of others because I don't know some stuff.
Im trying to get gaming sponsership or donations from companies like Dick smiths or something for competitions. Im hoping to sell advertising if my membership increases.

I'm the same (as the last post) - am visiting to learn a little from all of the pros.

I don't make much money off my shopping site (probably due to have a lot of unaffiliated links in there), but am starting to get a little bit of daily traffic so good!

My site is http://www.grizzlynut.co.nz
