New Google matching algorithm

In case you weren't aware, Google is now matching more on a broad basis for keywords. For example, previously "affiliate" and "affiliates" were two separate words on Google, but now it is treating them as the same.

This is due mainly from optimisation moving away from on-page more towards backlinks. On other sites I manage we have assigned a budget to buying links from other sites and used this to great effect. It's not cheap, but it does pull you out of a rut if you have the Supplemental Result problem.

What sites do you buy your links from? Do the sites have to be relevant and in the same Country to get a good country specific result in google?

www.textlinkbrokers.com - more relevant is better than high PR. The same country does not seem to make a lot of difference. On the page that links to you two main factors count - link anchor text, and also the page title of that page.
