Hello, just checking in.

Hello, I have just found this place, I assumed there would be a network of affiliate marketers in NZ.
Well, I am just graduating to this world of AM.
I have been online making and losing money for 3-4 years, but doing other stuff, most latterly autosurfing, but there are simply too many scams now to make that scene viable.
I have been aware for a while now of people making legit incomes with google adwords etc, and it has always been in the back of my mind.
I'm glad I found this place. I've just found our that Clickbank is cheap and unreliable! That was exactly what I was thinking...I kind of think there's a place waiting to be found that the select few are using etc.
I think I will check out commisison junction now.

Yup, Clickbank is absolutely hopeless....and there is a few more like that sadly too.
What country are you interested in targetting with your site(s). Maybe I can let you know some of the ones that I am using and found to be opf quality.

Glad I found you guys.
I'm a newbie trying to find my way around affiliate sites.
Hope to learn a lot more before I start.
Would you recommend any of the books on the market?

Don't waste your money on books on Affiliate Marketing - there's too much free info available online. Search for Affiliate Marketing Forums and similar sites.
If it's a book you particularly want, send me a Private Message with your email address and I'll send you one written by a friend of mine a couple of years ago.
...and don't be afraid to come back and ask questions.
All the best

Whats the story with Clickbank being unreliable?
I have been using Clickbank for a while now and havnt had any trouble with them.
I found CJ (commission Junction) quite good as well so far.

My previous comments about ClickBank, relate mainly to the merchants rather than ClickBank itself. And my comments are only based on my own experiences 1998 - 2001.
I find that very few substantial merchants use them. Instead they are often merchants looking for a cheap entry into Affiliate Marketing. And where anyone ever tries to go down the cheapie route, they seldom really value what comes out of it. For example if you pay $20,000 for one car and $5 for another, which car do you look after better. When comparing this to the AM situation, I have found that those merchants that use the more established (and more expensive) AM Networks usually put a lot more time and effort into their Affiliate relationships. As a result there is usually a much greater security for the Affiliate - especially when it comes to being paid.
But hey - thats only my experience.

A lot of merchants on ClickBank may be unreliable BUT there are still hundreds and even thousands of very good products at CB. I credit a lot of my early Affiliate Marketing successes to products bought from CB – but that’s just my opinion/experience.

Completely agree about the range of products but then again I want to be reliably paid if I am responsible for them being sold.
